Samsung, known for its AI features in the Android ecosystem, has expanded these capabilities with the One UI 6.1.1 update. Initially introduced with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, the update has now started rolling out for Galaxy devices released before 2022. However, several features are missing. Here are the details…
Missing AI Features in One UI 6.1.1 Update for Pre-2022 Galaxy Phones
The One UI 6.1.1 update, released on October 1st for Galaxy devices launched before 2022, is part of Samsung’s most significant and exciting updates. Previously available only for models from 2022-2024, the update has now arrived for older models but lacks many features.
While the standard One UI 6.1.1 update brings numerous AI features, the update for pre-2022 models notably excludes any mention of Galaxy AI capabilities. In fact, even the prior One UI 6.1 update had introduced only one new feature, but the 6.1.1 version does not add any new features.
Moreover, it’s noted that this update may be limited to foldable phones released before 2022. These features may vary with the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update in the future.
List of Galaxy Devices Receiving the One UI 6.1.1 Update:
